Hair Accessories

I first got the idea to make these hair clips when I saw the same flowers and butterflies used in centerpieces, and also as pens. I wanted to try to use them for something different, and thought they would make really pretty hair clips and barrettes. They come as a pair, the big ones are $3.00, the medium size ones are $2.00, and the small ones are $1.00...

Jewelry

I love making jewelry. My designs are all original, and I get most of my inspiration from my passion for fashion. It's always fun to accessorize your clothes, and I try to picture something that in my mind, would go good with a certain color or style. Below are some of my creations. Necklaces vary in price, bracelets and earrings are $5 - $10. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions...

These next necklaces are pretty by themselves, and also look great when combined with another necklace of the same style, observe...

Scarves

I often find that knitting and crocheting go hand in hand. They are both stress relieving methods to create hand made crafts. Scarves are fun to make because with a wide variety of yarns to choose from, the possibilities are endless. Below are some of my knitted scarves for $10.00 each...

These next scarves can also be worn as shawls, they are long, stretchy, reversible, and can be purchased for $15.00 each...

These next scarves have a ruffled look to them, and were made with Sashay and Starbella yarn. Below are some style ideas in different colors. The Sashay scarves can be purchased for $20 and the Starbella scarves for $25...

Grocery Bag Rugs

These rugs are great for the kitchen, and are made from plastic grocery bags. I straighten out the bags, fold them in half three or four times, cut off both ends, and then cut 1/4 to 1inch strips. I then tie the strips together and form a ball of 'plarn', or plastic yarn, and just like the rag rugs, they are crocheted. These recycled rugs can be purchased for $15.00 each. More pictures coming soon...

T-Shirt Rag Rugs

Below are some floor rugs I made from recycled t-shirt rags. First, I take the rags, cut them into long strips anywhere from 1/4 inch to 1 inch thick (depending on how thick you want the rug to turn out). The strips are then sewn together and rolled into a ball of rag yarn, and finally crocheted. Each rug measures about 31 inches long by 16 inches wide. As my own personal mark, I like to sew on a tag from one of the t-shirts, which were all made in the U.S.A. They can be purchased for $20.00 each...

This purple rug features a Mickey Mouse tag.

This turquoise rug is a bit larger at 35x19, same price.

This is probably one of my favorites.

These rugs make very good bathroom rugs, they are absorbent and very stretchy. They would also be good for camping trips, for use inside or outside a tent or an RV. When it's time to wash them, the colors shouldn't run together since the shirts have already been used, but I would recommend washing in cold water just in case.
